Renew Your Grill

So you’ve invested in a good grill and why would you not wish to take a a lot of time to maintain your grill by keeping it clean? Grates must be scraped totally after every grilling. After a while, who wants to grill on a grimy grill? There are many kinds of brands on the market to clean your grate, but unquestionably any good grill brush will do – soft bristle or nylon brushes can work as well. If you would like to use a stainless steel or brass wire brush, verify that it is acceptable to put into action on your grill grates by the manufacturer ahead of time before using it on your grill.

Clean Your Grill While It's Still Hot

Scrubbing is better done soon after you grill, since the grill is hot and grease is fresh. With other various types of grates like porcelain, stainless steel, cast iron, coated steel or various other types, it’s easiest to get it warm then scrub it. Once your grill has cooled down after cooking, but is yet warm, take your brush and scrub off any remaining food debris. If you want to wash the grates before you clear the decks to cook, then pre-heat the grill to a high heat of 500 degrees then wash the grates with the brands supported bristle grade brush. After cleansing, the heat can be regulated to a decent cooking temperature as stated in your recipe. Now rest easier knowing your grill is decent and scrubbed!

Spruce Up Your Grill To Keep it Nice

Once a year, it is recommended to do a good cleansing to your grill. This helps maintain and keep your grill running well for years and months to come. This will require that you more or less take it apart to to keep it up. If it’s a gas/propane grill, remove the gas line and then take up the grill parts layer by layer. When you come to the burner, make sure to check it thoroughly. If you can cleanse it, then do so, if not, replace it. If your grill has to use lava rocks or ceramic briquettes look good and see that these are not coated with grilled on foods. If they are covered with burnt food, replace them. Grill parts are available at practically all hardware stores. We urge you to call Zettler Hardware to determine what we have in-stock for your grill.

Obtain a Grill Cover to Care for it

Keep the front of your grill by buying a special cover for it! Specifically when not in use, but of course, when it has cooled down and not hot. The cover will not only protect the grill from the elements but will keep mold and other gunk off the grill. Get a good quality grill cover. One that will not hold humidity in. Pursue a grill cover with a felt liner and made with an exceptionally thick vinyl to hold off the rain. A cover is not necessary but could help and support the grills longevity especially if there are items that may wear in the rain.
